Have you just received your keys to your Tengah BTO flat? Know about the key features of your new home, including the windows that come with a nifty safety feature. Each window has a retractable restrictor bar that prevents it from swinging fully while also offering support from strong air currents that might rattle the window brace. A window restrictor also allows a window to be opened partly to air out a room but not wide enough to let a person in or fall through. If you’re having trouble operating the restrictor bar along the sliding track, these steps might help in completely opening your Tengah BTO flat windows–in case you feel that your new living space can use some fresh air and ventilation through widely opened windows.
- Swing either the right or left window slightly to reveal their respective restrictor bar.
- On the removable restrictor bar, there is a knob that can be moved to a slot on the sliding track. Move the knob until you are able to unlatch it from the slot.
- Release the restrictor bar away from the sliding track and push the window outward open at the same time.
- Carefully stow away the restrictor bar under the fully opened window. It will fit seamlessly in the space under the window frame.
- Retract the restrictor bar and re-attach it if you need to close the window again.
